I want to get one of the Real Time products but which one ?
The 'Real Time with History' product is better than the regular 'Real Time' product because:
• You have complete control over seeing everywhere the vehicle's been over the past 3 months. With the regular 'Real Time' product, you only find out where the vehicle is when you actually request the location.
• Electric Fences can be added/edited/deleted anytime on-line with the internet. With the regular 'Real Time' product, electric fences are programmed into the the black box and to make changes to them in the future, the black box needs to be mailed in for reprogramming.
• With both products you can specify a Miles Per Hour speed so you're alerted if the driver goes over it. With the 'Real Time with History' product, you can add/edit/delete this MPH setting anytime on-line with the internet. With the regular 'Real Time' product, this
speed is programmed into the the black box and to make a change to it in the future, the black box needs to be mailed in for reprogramming.
• Location data is saved even if the vehicle moves out of cell coverage area. Then when the vehicle returns within cell coverage, the location data is called in. With the regular 'Real Time' product, if the vehicle travels out of cell coverage, you won't see where it is. With both products, if the vehicle is out of cell coverage area, you won't
see where it is at that time. But with the 'Real Time with History' product you'll later see where it was at the time in question. With the regular 'Real Time' product, you have to try back later and do a location request to see if it's traveled back within cell coverage.
• It has unlimited use for $34.95 or 39.95 per month. With the regular 'Real Time' product, some of the polling plans cost more than that. And if you use more polls than planned during the month, you get into paying for overages which can be expensive.
• There are alot of reports available such as Start/Stop Times, Begin/End of Day, Detailed Activity, When a certain Speed was Exceeded Report, Mileage by State, Alerts sent out and more. And instead of receiving alerts one by one during the day, you can receive a daily/weekly/monthly
summary report of Alerts. The regular 'Real Time' product does not have any reports at all.
• If you track more than 1 vehicle, all of them can appear on a map on the screen at once. With the regular 'Real Time' just 1 vehicle can appear on a map at a time
Some features that the regular 'Real Time' product has that the 'Real Time with History' does not:
• It's possible to disable the vehicle's starter and unlock the vehicle's doors. The 'Real Time with History' product does not have these features.
• Alerts can be sent to cell phone as automated voice message. Both products can send alerts as emails and as text messages to cell phones that can receive text messages.
• You can use a telephone to locate the vehicle. With the 'Real Time with History' product you only use the internet.
None of our products use external roof, trunk or glass mount antennas !!
