A Passive unit is installed in a vehicle and the history of the car's travels is stored in the unit, and downloaded from the vehicle at a later time after the vehicle returns home. One of our passive systems has a wireless data download option that allows you to capture your data via a 900mhz download when the vehicle returns to your home. Passive systems are useful for parents who do not have a need to view their teenager's driving in real-time from any computer, nor do they have requirements for real-time alert notifications for speed or geo-fence violations, and other features that real-time systems offer.
